It is Wednesday again! Boy these weeks are going fast– Good maybe Spring will be here soon!
Wednesday means it is time for another set of prompts in the Finish This… link-up. This link-up is the brain child of Nicole (Three 31), Lisa (The Coastal Chicster), Jen (The Arizona Russums), and Becky (The Java Mama). If you’re a blogger, join in! This week’s prompts are hard for me because they are centered around Valentine’s Day and I am not a big Valentine’s Day person. It isn’t that I don’t like romance, it is just that I don’t like having to come up with romantic things on a particular day! To me, it is one of those “Hallmark Holidays”!
1. I celebrate Valentine’s Day by
Typically I celebrate Valentine’s Day by going out to a really nice dinner with my special guy.
2. My heart goes pitter-patter for
OK I was trying not to bring up my puppy (as a matter of fact, I think last week I managed to get through all the prompts without mentioning her, but since you asked, my heart goes pitter-patter for my puppy, Shakira! She really is adorable (even when she has accidents in the house). Such a cuddle-bug, and so tiny! My heart really does go pitter-patter when I look at her!
3. When looking for romance, my best advice is
Be yourself…Like yourself…Do things you enjoy doing! Basically live your life and I believe that romance will find you!
4. My favorite love story (real or fiction) is
Hmmm, this is a tough one. I’m not overly fond of sappy books and movies that center around a love story. They either end tragically (Love Story, Romeo and Juliet) or they are unrealistic, (An Officer and a Gentleman, Sweet Home Alabama). But I guess I have to admit, my favorite all time love story is The Way We Were. Maybe it has something to do with a young Robert Redford….
5. The best relationship/love/dating advice I ever received was
One time when I was feeling down after a teenage crush, my mother said to me, “The cure for one is another”. You have to admit this is good advise! Especially after a major break up!
